One thing that stands out is the look of the Balinese cat. While it is the same as a Siamese, just a long-haired version, the long coat makes a big difference with this cat breed. The Balinese has the same angular head and piercing blue eyes but the body looks soft and silky with the longer coat.

The five to nine pound Balinese shares the svelte but muscular body of the Siamese, as well as his wedge-shaped head, blue eyes, large triangular ears and striking color points.
The lifespan is approximately 18 to 22 years.
The Balinese has a full plume tail and the longer coat although in recent years, crossbreeding of the Balinese with the Siamese has produced leaner and longer features.
The Balinese is known as a hypoallergenic cat and while this is not set in stone, they are prone to less shedding and produces less of the Fel D1 protein that causes allergy problems in some people.
Personality of the Balinese Cat
Balinese cats are extremely fond of their owners and don't mind getting underfoot. They are intelligent, agile, athletic, and loving.
While they are just like a Siamese other than the coat, the Balinese isn't quite as outspoken. However, this does not mean that they aren't vocal; a Balinese will let you know exactly what they are thinking. If you do not like a chatty kitty then this is not the cat for you because before you know it, he or she will "tell all."
The Balinese cat loves to play so toys are something that is needed to entertain your cat. They will play with you for hours but during your time away, have plenty of outlets for their brain to stay active. Being a smart cat, they crave activities and play.

Care of the Balinese Cat
The Balinese cat breed needs its coat kept brushed to ensure the silky texture. Regular vet visits and a keen eye on any changes is what is needed to keep them healthy and happy. They are, however, predisposed to a few genetic health problems to be aware of.
